Welcome to a new week and the last week of January! It is good to be getting back to class!

Language Arts: This week we will be reading a non fiction story about a Red Eyed Tree Frog. This story focuses us on predicting and inferring. Please enjoy reading non fiction books at home this week and working on the same strategy focus.

Social Studies: We will continue our unit on Famous Americans and learn how these great leaders helped to change and form our country. We will focus on Ruby Bridges this week  and end with a very, very special American. (make sure and ask your child who this very, very special American is)

Math: We will start Chapter 14 that focuses on greater than, less than, ten more, ten less, one more, one less. Remember to work the practice pages into your child's daily math homework as well as math fact practice.

Choir: Weekly choir practice continues and I wanted to let you know that on February 13th we will be performing. Location and time TBA.

Homework Logs: Please complete your child's homework log daily writing down the book read and signing each day that your child has been working on math skills. This Homework Log is due each FRIDAY.

PE: Each Monday and Tuesday afternoon we have PE class so please make sure your child is wearing appropriate clothing and shoes to participate in all the activities.

Library: A reminder that each Friday we go to Rio's library so please help your child remember to return his/her book to class by Thursday.
