Welcome to a short week. I hope you all enjoyed a long weekend with our wonderful weather. I miss you all so much and am so happy to report that the doctor is releasing me to return back to work Monday. I will return wearing a protective boot on my right leg and walking with crutches but will be there with bells on!

Language Arts: This week we will be reading Eek! There's a Mouse the House.  It is a fun story about a mouse and many other animals that get stuck together in a house. One thing leads to another. We will work to note the various details in this story and all the other stories that we read during the week.

Social Studies: We will continue our unit on Famous Americans and learn how these great leaders helped to change and form our country. We will continue with Martin Luther King Jr. and end with a very, very special American. (make sure and ask your child who this very, very special American is)

Math: We will be continue our work with place value and will start Chapter 13 on skip counting.

Choir: We are exciting to get back our weekly choir practice and I wanted to let you know that on January 30th we will be performing. Location and time TBA.

Reading Logs: Please complete your child's reading log daily writing down the book read and signing each day that your child has been working on math skills. This Reading Log is due each FRIDAY.

PE: Each Monday and Tuesday afternoon we have PE class so please make sure your child is wearing appropriate clothing and shoes to participate in all the activities.

Library: A reminder that each Thursday we go to Rio's library so please help your child remember to return his/her book to class by Friday.
